The meaning of 1. Select Chapters is quite obvious. It lets you select the chapters out of which it will take words and prompts you for the translation.
The section 2. What should I ask you? probably needs some more explanation. As mentioned in the introduction, the Vocabulary Trainer keeps track of the words you either do not know, spelled wrong or you know. It puts the word into categories, so that you later can choose whether you want to be prompted for the words you did not know, you spelled wrong or did know. Note that if you are a newly registered user, all words are put into I did not know.
The words are assigned to the misspelled category if you did not spell them properly (sounds reasonable). However, the Vocabulary Trainer is very picky about what is right and what is wrong. For example, if you do not capitalize a letter but it should be, it will be counted as error. Do you put a space where no space belongs, it will be counted as error. Do you omit a punctuation mark, it will be counted as error. So please be mindful.
When you get prompted for the translation, there is also a button named Don't know. Pushing this button will show you the translation and puts the word into the category unknown.
Section 3. How should I ask you? lets you decide whether the Vocabulary Trainer presents you the word in the native language and prompts you for the translation to the foreign language (Only the foreign language) or it presents you the word in the foreign language and prompts you for the translation to the native language (Only the native language).
Well, after you have selected the desired options, simply click GO! and you will be prompted for the words you have selected.
