Solaris Express Gvectors

Sun Solaris Express Developer Edition comes with more recent GTK+ libraries than Sun Solaris 10, but does not include gtkmm libraries. However, the recent libraries allow to cut down the number of additional packages needed to be installed.

The packages presented in the "Solaris 11 (Solaris Express)" download section are the bare minimum needed to build and run Gvectors or its affiliated library libgvectors.

By default, the content of the packages is installed in /opt/gdev. The packages were compiled using Sun Studio 12, with the -fast option for Intel Pentium 4 processors (-mchip=pentium4 -xarch=sse2). Debugging information was not suppressed, resulting in bigger object files.

If you feel uncomfortable using the packages provided on this site, you are free to compile the required libraries yourself. You will find the source code on the corresponding internet sites.
